About the event
Join Moana Vā and the Christchurch Tramping Club for a summer adventure along one of Canterbury’s most breathtaking coastal tracks, the Awaroa–Godley Head Loop!
This stunning walk takes you past quirky old baches, dramatic sea cliffs, and even a penguin colony, with views stretching across Pegasus Bay to the Kaikōura Ranges. We’ll stop for a relaxed picnic at the Godley Head camp spot before completing the loop back to Taylors Mistake.
Where: Meet at Taylors Mistake car park
When: Saturday 24 January, 10:00 AM – approx. 3:00 PM
Distance: 7 km loop (around 4–5 hours including picnic)
Facilities: Toilets at Taylors Mistake and Godley Head
